BUYING at AUCTION

Congratulations on your winning bid! Here's what happens next, how to pay, and how to get your vehicle home. After You Win - I just won a vehicle at auction. What's next?

First, celebrate! Then expect an invoice and payment instructions from the Client Team. Payment is due in full on the first business day following the auction. Once received your payment, they will help arrange transport to your location.

What is a buyer's premium?

The buyer's premium is a percentage added to your winning bid (the "hammer price"). It's how auction houses operate—think of it as a service fee. The exact percentage is listed on each lot page under "Additional Information."

Do I have to pay sales tax?

Yes, unless you qualify for an exemption (like being a registered dealer with a resale certificate). Contact our Client Team if you have questions about tax exemptions in your area.

When will I get the title and registration documents?

All sending all title and registration paperwork within 20 business days after the auction and receipt of your payment.

Payment Methods

How can I pay for my vehicle?

They will accept certified funds only:

Wire transfer (most common)

Cash

Certified check

Personal or company check (only with a bank letter of guarantee)

Cryptocurrency (via BitPay)

How do I pay with cryptocurrency?

You'll need a pre-approved BitPay ID before the auction. Here's the process:

Sign up at bitpay.com/signup

If you win, BitPay emails you an invoice

Log into your BitPay account, review the invoice, and select "Pay with BitPay"

Choose your wallet and cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin, etc.)

Scan the QR code or copy the payment details into your wallet

Confirm the payment

Important: The exchange rate locks for 15 minutes. If you don't complete payment within that window, the rate may change.

What cryptocurrencies do you accept?

Bitcoin support (BTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Dogecoin (DOGE), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC), and five USD-pegged stablecoins (BUSD, DAI, GUSD, USDP, USDC).

Why is there a 1% fee when I pay with crypto?

BitPay charges a 1% vendor fee to process cryptocurrency payments. This applies to your total invoice (hammer price + buyer's premium + any applicable VAT).

What is BitPay?

BitPay is the world's largest cryptocurrency payment processor. Founded in 2011, they make it safe and easy to send, receive, and store digital currency. They support over 90 crypto wallets including Coinbase, Exodus, Ledger, Trust Wallet, and more.
